Terms of use
1. Scope
These terms govern access to and use of the EconomyTutor course on economytutor.com. The operator of the website and supplier of the content is Saage Media GmbH, c/o SpinLab – The HHL Accelerator, Spinnereistraße 7, 04179 Leipzig, Germany (Commercial Register no. HRB 42755, Local Court (Amtsgericht) Leipzig).
You conclude the purchase contract with Paddle („Paddle“). Depending on the country from which you make your purchase, the contracting Paddle company is Paddle.com Market Limited, 30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU, United Kingdom (for purchases from the EU and all other countries except the United States and Canada), Paddle.com Inc. (USA, for purchases from the United States) or Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd. (Canada, for purchases from Canada); the information in Paddle’s Buyer Terms and in your purchase confirmation is decisive. As Merchant of Record, Paddle is the seller and issues the invoice. Paddle’s Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms) apply to price, payment, invoice, taxes, withdrawal and refunds. These Terms of Use are the terms of the supplier of the content (the „Supplier Agreement“ within the meaning of Paddle’s terms). They govern our provision of the course and your use of the content.
These terms are addressed to consumers. A consumer is any natural person who enters into the transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or self-employed profession.
2. The course
The full course gives you online access to all lesson pages of the EconomyTutor course on economytutor.com: learning goals, key points, quizzes with explanations and sources for every lesson, including lessons that are published later. The price is shown on the course page (one-time payment, no subscription). The lesson videos themselves are published free of charge on YouTube; the course adds the quizzes, explanations and the learning structure.
The course currently comprises 365 planned lessons. Lessons are prepared one by one; the course page shows which lessons already have their quiz. Lessons 1 to 7 are free for everyone.
Language: English. The content is general education about economics and not financial, investment, tax or legal advice (see the disclaimer).
3. How to buy
- On the course page, select „Buy the full course“.
- A dialog opens. There, you agree to the immediate start of the supply and select „Continue to checkout“. Selecting „Cancel“ or pressing the Esc key closes the dialog without any consequences.
- Paddle’s checkout opens on top of the page. You enter your email address, country and payment details. Until you click the pay button, you can correct all entries or leave the checkout using the close icon.
- By clicking the pay button, you place a binding order with Paddle. Paddle confirms the purchase by email.
- Right after payment, the course is unlocked in your browser, and we email you your personal access link together with a confirmation of your consent.
4. Access
There is no customer account. Access works with your personal access link, which sets a cookie in each browser you open it in. Please keep the email and do not share the link. If you lose it, you can request a new one on the course access page; the previous link then stops working.
Your learning progress is saved only in your browser (local storage), not on our server. It is not transferred between devices and is lost if you delete your browser data.
We provide access for as long as we operate the course. If we ever discontinue the course, we will inform buyers by email in good time.
Requirements: a current web browser with JavaScript enabled.
5. Rights of use
With your purchase, you receive the non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the course content for private learning purposes. In particular, the following are not permitted: passing on your access link or the content to third parties, publishing the content, copying the quizzes in bulk, any commercial use without our consent in text form, and use for training, testing or fine-tuning AI systems. Uses permitted by law remain unaffected.
6. AI-generated content
The illustrations and the narrator’s voice of the videos are AI-generated. Scripts, quizzes and research are created with AI assistance and reviewed by a human. The mascot and all characters are fictional.
7. Defects and liability
The statutory provisions apply to defects in the digital content (Sections 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code, BGB). Your statutory rights against Paddle as the seller remain unaffected. If something does not work, please email EconomyTutor@saagemedia.com. Our liability is governed by the statutory provisions.
8. Withdrawal
As a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you have a right of withdrawal. Details, including when it expires early for digital content, are in the withdrawal information. You can withdraw at any time using the „Withdraw from contract“ button at the bottom of every page.
9. Data protection
Information on how we process your data can be found in our privacy policy.
10. Applicable law, dispute resolution
The purchase contract with Paddle is governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. German law applies to these Terms of Use and to our provision of the course. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only to the extent that it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer dispute resolution body.
